Occupational Therapy Assessment and Advisory Services

Specialist Occupational Therapy Assessments, Advice and Reports provided by EBB-OT enable the child or adult and those supporting and caring for them to gain a detailed insight into their individual abilities and needs which may be impacting upon their functional performance in everyday activities at home, school, in the workplace or community environments.

EBB-OT assessments take into consideration the individual’s fine motor, independence, self-care, organisation and sensory processing abilities and needs.

Advice contained in EBB-OT reports provided following assessment will enable the introduction of practical and effective support approaches to promote development and optimise functional performance in everyday life.

There are several different assessment packages available from EBB-OT and these include but are not limited to:

  • Occupational Therapy Assessment and Report
  • Sensory Processing Assessment and Report
  • Occupational Therapy and Sensory Processing Assessment and Report
  • Occupational Therapy Assessment and Report suitable for inclusion in an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
  • Occupational Therapy Assessment and Report to support transition planning (from school to school or children’s to adult services)

In addition to the completion of assessment(s) and report provision, follow-up visits are also available to educate those involved about the assessment outcomes, to facilitate the introduction of the recommended support approaches or environmental adaptations or to complete review assessments to monitor progress.

EBB-OT is also able to offer attendance at multi-disciplinary and/or Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) meetings following EBB-OT assessment. This can help the wider team involved in supporting the individual to best understand the child or adult’s sensory processing, independence and functional abilities and needs and make practical and effective plans for support provision.

EBB-OT Assessment Services are suitable for children and adults with autism, developmental differences and/or learning disabilities. Children and adults who do not have a diagnosis but who are struggling to function optimally in their day to day lives are also able to access EBB-OT assessment and advisory services.

If you feel that any of these assessment services may be beneficial for you or someone you support or care for, or you wish to discuss a more bespoke assessment package, please do not hesitate to get in touch for more information.
